Biography
Silvio Osella is an assistant professor at the Centre of New Technologies, University of Warsaw. His research focuses on the multiscale computational study of the opto-electronical and transport properties of low dimensional materials and of photoswitchable and fluorophore molecules when (but not limited to) inserted into biological environments. Three main research lines are followed. The first concern the study of fluorophores embedded in lipid membranes and proteins; the second on the formation and study of hybrid organic-biological materials for bio-organic electronics; the third on the opto-electronic properties of low dimensional materials (i.e. graphene derivatives, TMDCs, MXenes) for organic electronic applications.
